Writer Andrew Hood has been named a finalist for The Writers’ Trust of Canada’s 2012 Journey Prize. He received the recognition for the story “Manning,” which was published in the summer 2011 issue of PRISM International.
The Writers’ Trust of Canada/McClelland & Stewart Journey Prize is awarded annually to a new and developing writer of distinction for a short story published in a Canadian literary publication. This award is made possible by James A. Michener’s donation of his Canadian royalty earnings from his novel Journey, published by McClelland & Stewart in 1988.
The winner of the 2012 Journey Prize will be announced in Toronto November 7.
