The 2022 Jacob Zilber Prize for Short Fiction is officially open, and we’re thrilled to announce Heather O’Neill as this year’s judge!


Heather O’Neill is a novelist, essayist, and short story writer. She is the writer of favourites like Lullabies for Little Criminals and The Lonely Hearts Hotel. We are looking forward to her upcoming book in February 2022, When We Lost Our Heads.

We hope that her wild and wonderful fiction inspires vivid and innovative submissions to this contest.
The deadline has been extended to January 15/2022!
