Home > PRISM Online > Call for submissions! Themed Issue: WONDER

We are excited to announce our call for submissions for issue 60.1: WONDER.

Bring us your castles in the sky, your fantastic cartographies. Take us to the places that exist in the corner of your eyes, the garden between the waking and dreaming world. Show us your bug collection, a new magic trick, your lost socks, your favourite mathematical equation, the seeds sprouting on your windowsill, a fairy you’ve befriended. Be curious. Be skeptical. We want to see how bright the world can really be.

Wonder. Wonderful, wondrous, wondering. What is, what isn’t, and what could be. Wonder keeps our eyes open, uncovers mystery in the mundane, welcomes the unexpected and unfamiliar. Wonder is a stray thought, an imagined world, an alternate fantasy, and everything in between. Wonder invites the unknown, dances in the space between the stars, flits at the bottom of a microscope, swims in tidepools, and beckons us into the forest.

We are accepting prose (approximately 4,000 words or less), and poetry (up to four poems, to a maximum of six pages). Please submit via Submittable. We pay $30 per printed page of prose, and $40 per printed page of poetry.

For general submissions guidelines and submittable link visit our submissions page here. Please read the guidelines (really!) before submitting.

PS—The Grouse Grind Contest for V Short Forms is open for submissions until May 15th! Submit your best work 300 words or less!
