Dylan Bach (he/him) holds an MFA from UBC’s School of Creative Writing. He writes weird and speculative fiction and attends to the business of stay-at-home dads.

Rasma Haidri grew up in Tennessee and makes her home on a rural Norwegian coastal island. Her writing appeared recently in Prairie Schooner and River Teeth, and is forthcoming in Rattle. See her books, Blue Like Apples and As If Anything Can Happen, poems, writing prompts, and more about Rasma at www.rasma.org.

Ashraf Zaghal is a writer and environmental engineer. He is a graduate of the UBC Creative Writing MFA program. His poetry has been published in The Literary Review, Metamorphoses, Transference, and Four Way Review. He likes to walk along small rivers and pick up twigs and stray stones.

Libby King writes short stories, lyric essays, and autotheory that explore white culture, colonisation, family separation, consciousness, neoliberalism, and the boundaries between science and mythology. Her work has been in Prairie Fire, Grain, The February Journal, Island Magazine, and elsewhere. She is a member of the Flinders University Life Narrative Lab and on the Board of the Campbell River Art Gallery. Originally from Adelaide in Australia, she lives on Vancouver Island, BC.

Tristan Hay Lee (she/her) is a writer currently completing her MFA in Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia. Her work has been published in Room and The Selkie, as well as shortlisted for the HarperCollins/UBC Prize for Best New Fiction and the Bridge Prize. She wastes her precious free time listening to obscure comedy podcasts and diving down Wikipedia rabbit holes.

Saskia Wodarczak (she/her) is a writer and editor currently completing her BA in English Literature, with minors in History and Professional Writing, at Concordia University. Her work has been published in The Concordian, New Wave Magazine, and Bazoof! Magazine. Born and raised in Vancouver, she has lived in Toronto and is now based in Montréal.

Jesset Karlen is a Indigenous Métis writer living in Canada who has served as a judge for various literary awards and contests. He is completing his MFA in creative writing at UBC. Fantasy is close to his heart, and he hopes to write stories that readers can hold close to their hearts years after reading.

Sohana Manzoor is a writer and storyteller from Bangladesh. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Southword, The Bellingham Review, Valparaiso Fiction Review, Eclectica, Litro, Best Asian Short Stories, and elsewhere. She is the editor of Our Many Longings: Contemporary Short Fiction from Bangladesh (2021). Currently, she is pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing at UBC. When she is not writing, she is either cooking, playing scrabble, or basking in the sun.

Stephanie Broder (they/them) is an illustrator, writer, and arts educator with a particular passion for comics. Their comics and novels tend to lean towards science fiction, with an emphasis on character-driven stories about identity and belonging. Currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at UBC, you can also find them all over town, teaching workshops and tabling at events.

Rebekah Young is an author and a graduate of Sheridan College’s Creative Writing and Publishing program. You can find Rebekah’s work in The Publisher’s Desk and B222 Journal. Her poetry was shortlisted in the Sheridan Reads Writing Contest. She is also a First Reader for Augur Magazine.

Laura Santi is a writer based on the unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səl̓ilwətaɬ people. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing at UBC. Her work has appeared in Pinch Journal Online, Business Insider, and Literary Namjooning. She can be found on Instagram @thecandidconnection.

Erin Vosters is a midwife and emerging writer from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Treaty 1 territory, living in Shanghai, China. They are enrolled in UBC’s Creative Writing MFA program. They facilitate a nonfiction writing workshop and have published poetry in Poetry Lab Shanghai, with work forthcoming in Maisonneuve, EVENT, subTerrain, and Funicular.
