Home > Issues > CALL FOR THEMED SUBMISSIONS- “RUIN”

After the success of previous themed issues such as “Liminal“, “Bad“, and “Dreams” we decided we just had to do another one!

PRISM’s RUIN issue seeks writing that interrogates destruction, loss, and what it means to rebuild. Ruin is not just about wanton wreckage, ruin is the targeted demolition of hegemony—a conscious act to take a crumbling system and level it, creating space for something new to grow. In this issue, we seek writing about cycles: death and rebirth, collapse and our endless search for stability. Writing that explores how we live with ruin—within and outside of ourselves—the way we fear and embrace it. We seek stories about wildflowers blooming in the ashes, and ruins from the past becoming foundations for personal revolution. Submit your best prose and poetry now.

Deadline: December 15th, 2018.

PLEASE NOTE: General  general submissions will be closed until January 1st, 2019.
